We’ve been listening. We’ve updated and revised Now Up-to-Date & Contact. But, there was only one way to make those wishes come true. We threw away everything — 1.2 million lines of code — and started again from scratch. Over 3 years in development, and rebuilt from the ground up, our new product – codenamed “NightHawk” — is a revolutionary leap forward.

So what’s changed? 
First, we’ve integrated the two functions of calendaring and contact management into one application.

Doing time NightHawk's calendar workspace allows for a powerful set of views while maintaining a comfortable familiarity for Now Up-to-Date users.

Then we started adding all those other features you've been requesting, like a beautiful Aqua GUI (graphical user interface) on Macs and native interface on Windows; translucent, live-resizing banners; hierarchical tasks; improved sets and categories; syncing to AddressBook and iCal; syncing to all iSync compatible mobile phones and PDAs; SQL database; autoupdating; international support (Unicode, calendar weeks); centralized user administration (no more changing passwords when staff changes); secure network transfers; and the list goes on, and on, and on.

NightHawk sports all-new features, like our new overlapping banners, hierarchical task lists, tab sets, and more, while still being instantly recognizable by even the most die-hard Now Up-to-Date & Contact veterans.

NightHawk is a comprehensive solution to manage all of your key business information in one application. That means less switching, hunting and waiting, and more getting things done. 

We’ve also built NightHawk to support your favorite mobile gadgets. You can take your key data with you when you’re away from your computer so you have access no matter how far you roam.

NightHawk is designed to sync data to your iPod, phone, SmartPhone and PDA.

Plays well with others Not only does NightHawk incorporate Apple technologies like iSync, it also supports popular formats like iCalendar and vCard.

NightHawk also incorporates the latest in database, networking, and security technologies, making it fast and safe. And, it will scale to meet your needs, whether you’re two people working out of a garage, or you’ve just moved into your new corporate headquarters and have thousands of employees.

But, NightHawk is more than just a replacement for Now Up-to-Date & Contact. It’s a platform that will enable us to add a host of new modules to complement and expand what you’ve come to expect from our award-winning productivity software.

Don’t worry. The features you love about Now Up-to-Date & Contact are still there. We've taken years of know-how and the latest advances in technology to create a product that performs like never before.

“Is it cross-platform?”
Yes. We live in a diverse world. The graphics department loves Macs, the accounting department demands PCs, and the sales team lives on their cell phones and PDAs. Can't we all just get along? NightHawk was designed from the ground up to provide the same functionality for Mac and Windows, and syncs to any iSync-compatible phone or PDA. Specifically, it will be available for Mac OS X versions 10.4 and higher, including 10.5 "Leopard", as well as Microsoft Windows XP and Vista.

It's who you know NightHawk's contact detail can handle more than just a handful of pre-defined fields.  It supports: unlimited custom fields, free form notes, any kind of document attachment, emails from Mail, and more.

“How much will it cost, and can I get an upgrade?”
NightHawk calendar & contact module will be available for $149.95 per license. Owners of Now Up-to-Date & Contact Version 5.0 and later can upgrade for $69.95 per license when NightHawk becomes available. Those who already have, or who purchase maintenance agreements for their Now Up-to-Date & Contact licenses, will receive free upgrade serial numbers for NightHawk's Contact, Calendar, and Server modules, along with download instructions, upon release.
